Update: Chawla was indeed pregnant and delivered 9 huge, healthy pups on 6/28/2022. We have since done a DNA on momma and she is 30% Golden Retriever and 70% Poodle. We are also testing the pups.

NEW INTAKE 6/12/2022: Chawla - female - approx 3 years old - 64.8 pounds - Labradoodle
Reason for intake: This sweet girl wandered into someone's yard in Greenacres Place, Bossier City, on 5/24/22. Thankfully, she wandered into a nice lady's yard. She took her in. She worked with Bossier City Animal Control in case someone came looking for her. She also posted her all over social media... but no one ever claimed her and no one came to animal control looking for her. She had an infection on her nose. The finder took her to her vet and she was placed on antibiotics. She was also heavily matted, with a long, very unkempt coat full of briars and other brush... so the finder took her to a groomer (before and after pictured). She is very well-behaved according to the finder and we have found that to be the case as well. After a visit to the vet, we've found she is pregnant and will have at least 6 pups if not more.
NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. For that reason, we are not taking applications yet. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.
