My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abused and abandoned. Bruised and broken.

This fighter is a 35 lb, 2 y/o, hound mix. Despite being abused via a shock collar before entering rescue, he is desperately seeking love and is the sweetest boy there ever was. His favorite activity is playing with his best fur friends. He is also popular with his feline friends as he was fostered in AL with them.

This handsome brindle is house trained and working hard at understanding he’s safe in his crate. He’s a little shy at first so we don’t think tiny hoomans are his ideal furever roommate (they just move too quick). He shows no aggression to them, rather cowers away.

He is up to date on vaccines/preventatives, HW negative and neutered. He will in Harrisburg, PA waiting on furever

If you think you are the one to let him know his fight is over and he will be furever safe, apply today and list PETEY as your future match.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
