Update from foster mom 12/8/22: Storm is such a love. All he wants is attention. He would be happiest if you brushed him all day (he especially loves his chin brushed), fed him all the yummiest food possible (fish is his favorite!), and just let him lie in your lap or next to you and he will comfort you to sleep with his precious purr. He is a low maintenance boy. We don't know how old he is and his vet said he's a young kitty in an old man's body. He had a dental cleaning and did great with the anesthesia and recovery without any issues. His bloodwork was good. He has very low vision (seems to only see some shadows) and his hearing is limited. He hears when you are near him and will perk up and can hear low sounds. He responds to touch. He urinates in the box every time but occasionally will poop over the box, so nothing a puppy pad under the box won't cure! He will need a one-level living arrangement to avoid any stairs or areas that he could hurt himself given his hearing and vision impairments. He ignores other cats and dogs, so friendly calm dogs and cats will be just fine with him. Sweet Storm has such soulful, gentle eyes and a personality to match. Storm came broken, tired, hungry, wet, and weak to his rescuer's doorstep one night during a thunderstorm. He was so tired that he slept so hard for the first few days that his rescuer thought he may have passed in his sleep. He finally mustered enough strength to eat and start showing his personality. He loves to play, nap, and is very well behaved. Always pees in the litter box but occasionally will poop over the box so a litter mat or puppy pad will solve that issue. He has seen the vet and had a full physical, bloodwork, and dental cleaning done. He is healthy and even though looks like an old man, he actually had some young looking teeth and he overcame signs of starvation and poor nutrition, so he's good to go now! He made such an impression that he had a donor pay for his vet care. He is a very sweet boy, he purrs and craves attention. He didn't seem to mind the dogs in the foster home and he likely will be fine around other cats. He seemed to ignore both. All cats are at least 8 weeks old at time of adoption, are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies - if at least 16 wks old), and given a starter dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
