BIG MAC

Big Mac is one big boy with a lot of love to give. This neutered male, German Shorthair Pointer/Bullmastiff mix, weighs 88 pounds. Big Mac came to us as a transfer from Sonoma County Animal Services. This hunk has been waiting eight months to find a forever home, and we have absolutely no idea why! Big Mac loves everyone he meets, including other dogs. He does have a rowdy playstyle; therefore, another large breed dog would be best. He has a similar reaction to cats, so that is a no-go! If you are in an adult-only home or have older children, Mac is the dog for you. We fell in love with him the moment we met him; it's your turn now!

I am a male, black brindle and white German Shorthaired pointer/Bullmastiff cross

I am estimated to be about 2 years old.

I have been at the shelter since 08/29/2021.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries"). NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
