My story

Meet Henry!

Henry was found living on the porch of a church in South Dallas where he sought refuge an companionship with a homeless woman. Church members networked his rescue to his foster and Saving Hope.

Henry is around 2 years old and loves a good chew bone or toy! Henry lives with a 7 yr old dog-knowledgeable child, 3 other dogs, 2 bunnies, chickens, ducks, and a hamster. Henry is the BEST listener his experienced foster has ever had.

Henry has helped corral a loose rabbit, listens to commands, and never once uses his mouth. If kindly taught how to act and provided with routine and positive reinforcement, Henry absolutely flourishes. He LOVES being an indoor dog and important and treasured part of a family and he certainly deserves it.

As he is young and a chewer, Henry MUST have a large assortment of bones and tough chew options and toys available at all times (he does so in his foster's home and this has never destroyed any non-dog toys while here). He LOVES bully sticks! Henry is crated (with his favorite chew toys & bones) when his foster humans leave, but never for more than 5 hours and the other dogs are crated right by him. He does have a few carabiners on his crate as he is wily at pushing the door & squeezing through. His foster can walk you through crating him! He eats each meal in his crate and will now go in his crate in anticipation of his meals.

Henry is incredibly loyal, very loving, grateful for pets and snuggles, a sweet licker with unparalleled listening skills. He deserves his own family where he will be absolutely treasured like the prince he is. Henry is neutered, microchipped, and on heart worm prevention.
