My story

Meet Charlie!

After Charlie was surrendered to the Carson Shelter by his owner, the rescue coordinator there reached out to us about taking him. We scooped Charlie up on June 12th, and he is already busy making friends in the littles' play yard! He is 9 years old and weighs 27 lbs. Charlie is a wonderful dog! He is very affectionate, easy-going, friendly with everyone and good with other dogs.

Charlie is a sweet, gentle boy, which made him the perfect choice to accompany a volunteer to visit residents at a skilled nursing facility. Afterwards, the volunteer shared: "Charlie proved to be an excellent ambassador for FFF, charming everyone he encountered at Meadowbrook Village's skilled nursing facility. He had plenty of energy, but was able to sit quietly when needed. Charlie also travels well in the car!" We're so proud of Charlie!

Charlie went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we learned a lot about what he is like in a home. His Fling Mom reported: " Sweet Charlie’s fling has ended. He is back at Frosted Faces and is ready for his forever family!  If you’re looking to add a really easy guy to your family, Charlie is it!  Things I’ve learned about him:

He just wants to be near you.
He loves scratches anywhere you want to give them, especially belly and butt.
He sleeps all night in his crate.
He’s a good eater. He ate Fresh Pet and would’ve loved more at each meal.
He’s a good walker.
He a good listener and knows the command sit, if you have a treat in your hand. If you don’t have a treat he goes into a down. He also knows stay, no, and come."

Check out the cute videos of Charlie approaching for pets and gently taking his new favorite treat - carrots!
