My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tyr was brought to the U.S. from overseas by a government agency in hopes that he would be trained to serve the country as a bomb dog for the military. However, his sweet nature and confirmed elbow displasia eventually caused him to wash out of the program. He was rescued from where he lived 24-7 in a training kennel environment and has come a long way. He knows how to walk on a leash and sit upon command. Outside of that, he needs a lot of patience and training. Tyr doesn’t get along with other animals and has a difficult time remembering not to have accidents. He has an extremely willing personality and loves to please. He will require an experienced family or person who can spend the time to teach him how to be a good boy. He has no resource aggression but is reactive to other dogs. He is healthy outside of his slightly awkward elbows and is eager to do whatever it takes to receive love and affection. For those interested, please know that we will be very selective of his adoption prospects as we know he is a special case and deserves a forever loving family as much as any other dog.
