Gus is ~2 years old (we found him as a stray in Feb 2020). He was unclaimed and malnourished so we agreed to foster him. With COVID and life craziness we have had trouble finding him a forever home. He is a snuggly couch potato at home, but also needs a long walk/run or playtime with another big dog to get out his energy. He is house- and crate-trained and knows basic commands (very trainable w/treats). He may play too rough with smaller dogs. He should NOT be in a home with small children, cats, or other small animals due to a strong prey drive. In addition to a 4y old (who was always supervised around Gus), we now have a newborn baby
In the new-baby chaos one of our cats got loose with Gus (we kept them separated) and he killed the cat, which was very traumatic for us. With the newborn and another cat we cannot safely foster him any longer and need a forever home or new fostering situation ASAP.
