Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Don't pen me in!
That was the motto of Kiko while she was caged. She was at the Mat-Su Animal Shelter and she was just about fed up the being confined. She became reactive and ill-tempered and was not doing well. Thanks for the kind folks there for contacting rescue to help her out, literally out of the cage.
And here she is! Meet the REAL Kiko! A charming, curious, adorable little girl. She walked out of the carrier into an open room and hey, everything was just fine. She loves people. But here's the catch! Kiko still seems to be easily overstimulated with touching and does not react well to being pet at this time. She is great in the home. She hangs out with the kids, lays on the bed, purrs, explores, is very happy. She loves checking out every nook and cranny. She loves being able to race and climb and the freedom to be a cat. But she doesn't do well with petting. She will be purrfect cat for a family who enjoys having a happy companion in the house without needing to be in a lap or begging to be pet all the time.
She's about a year and a half old, has a most lovely calico coat, seems fine with other cats, and is SOOOO ready for a home where she can be loved and free. She's happy to change her motto to 'hey, wanna play!' She will need a home where she can go outside and enjoy being a natural cat.
If you'd like to meet this adorable sweetie, call or text 907 960-0096. She's in Anchorage.
