Meet Riggs!
Rigs (Rigatoni) is an approx 8 year old Yorkie boy looking for a female only home. He has never been reactive around men just becomes timid and skittish in their presence. He’s an absolute sweetheart who enjoys other dogs, and children with a calm demeanor. Rigs enjoys going for walks in his stroller and taking long naps in a cozy donut bed, He is so enjoyable to have around the house and has adjusted to both a very calm day to day life as well as a fun social life with many friends over, he will just relax in his donut bed. He has lived with two other yorkie brothers and a 9 year old boy, with no issues at all. Rigs loves to be held like a baby and will wrap his arms around you in a hug. He is trying very hard to learn how to play with the dogs and it’s adorable. His tongue is his trademark feature.
Rigs eats soft food because he no longer has any teeth, he eats in close proximity with his yorkie foster brothers and there has not been any signs of resource guarding at all. He likes to take a small treat and will nod his head for you to drop it in front of him, he doesn’t like to take it from your hand.
Rigs HATES a squeaker toy or anything that sounds like a squeak toy, that is predominately when we’ve heard him bark, (otherwise he doesn’t make a peep) and he will run around frantic trying to get away and hide. Rigs doesn’t play with toys but his foster fur brother likes to play with tiny squeak toys and that made Rigs very unsettled.
Rigs mostly goes to the bathroom outside but while we’re still working on that he wears a small male wrap diaper and does great with it. He sleeps in his donut bed on our bed all night and does wonderfully. Rigs will do one to two stairs but has not wanted to tackle more than that, we carry him up and down our stairs at bedtime and otherwise he just hangs out on the main level. He is very well behaved and has never once tried to eat, chew, or get into anything he should not.
He is neutered and UTD on vaccines. He would love another small dog in the home to keep him company. To apply for Riggs please submit an application
