My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty is Adopted

Misty is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and her adoption fee is minimal to an approved adopter/home.
Hi My name is Misty, I am a 13 yr old cockapoo mix that was surrendered to a KY shelter when my owner was placed in a Nursing Home. I may be older, but I am a feisty little gal!!! I do have some normal “old lady” health issues, but nothing that I cant handle with medications. I take my meds everyday with NO trouble at all!!
I LOVE TO EAT!!! Food is my Favorite!! In fact you have to keep an eye on me so I don’t overeat!! I LOVE being with my human person, in fact I will follow you everywhere you go within the home. I will lay outside your door and wait for you to come out of a room. I am deaf, and visually impaired, but that doesn’t stop me a bit, my nose takes me everywhere I need to go!!!! I get along great with other animals, and I am sweet and cuddly, my human momma says my little face is just ADORABLE!!! I also like to sleep a lot, ya know, us old ladies need our beauty rest!! I am looking for a retirement home to live out my days, I could have a decent amount of time left, who knows, some other dogs of my breed live 15 plus years, and I certainly have a strong spirit!!
I do have some health issues like dry eye, CHF (very well managed with Lasix, I don’t even have any cough) I need a supplement added to my food to assist me with absorbing my food, so I don’t get diarreah, and I have an enlarged Gall Bladder. I also need to be let outside frequently because I don’t hold my bladder long. I will go to the door, and ask to go outside, but if you aren’t paying attention, I might have an accident. Anyways, I am a great companion to have around if that is what you are looking for!!
I am spayed, UTD on vaccines and HW negative.
