My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Malley is Adopted

Malley is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and her adoption fee is $300
Hi, My name is Malley, I am a 5 yr old cocker spaniel that was rescued from a puppymill in southern Ohio. I was used for breeding, and basically lived my life in a cage, It was NOT a good life for a sweet girl like me at all!!! Then this great rescue came along, and I was let out of my cage!!! I was taken to a vet, examined, spayed, and given all of the medical needs to bring me up to my current “healthy” self.
Once I was ready at the Vet, I came to my foster home, I get to sleep on soft beds here, and live on the inside, not in an outdoor barn inside of a cage, WOW!! This is a real NICE way to live as a dog!!! I am a typical mill dog, I tend to cower when approached, and freak out if you put a leash on me. I DO NOT know how to walk on a leash, so I MUST HAVE A FENCED IN YARD. I also need at least one other dog in my home to help with my confidence level, and to teach me how to be a pet in a home environment. I don’t do well on my own, so at least one other dog currently in the home will be REQUIRED.
Once I get to know and trust my humans, I do warm up, and enjoy sitting on the couch with them, in fact I LOVE to be given attention/petting from my current human foster mom. I get along great with other dogs, and I will go outside and potty with another, but I still need work on my house training skills. I have learned how to use a doggy door, so if you have one of those, I am experienced using it!! Overall, I will need a patient adopter, one that understands my needs as a former puppymill dog. I have no known health issues, and I have a nice laid back mellow temperament once I am settled in and comfortable. I will be a great dog for someone wanting a snuggle buddy, I am GREAT AT SNUGGLING!!!
I am spayed, UTD on vaccines, and HW negative.
