My story

Meet Tinker Bell, a 9-year-young female tabby who is an absolute people pleaser. Tinker Bell just lost her ‘mom’ to breast cancer and is desperate to find a new home. :(

She is a highly social cat who is happiest with other cats and people of all ages (including kids). Her absolute favorite food is chicken. Doesn’t matter if it’s fried, roasted, grilled or boiled, if it’s chicken, she wants it!

Her favorite activities include laying in people’s laps while getting scritches, sleeping underneath the bed covers, and chasing after her sister when they get the zoomies.

Her sister, Daisy, is a 5-year-young cutie with a cuddly and calm disposition. Daisy and Tinker Bell do not need to find a home together necessarily, but they do get along very well with each other, and sweet dogs and children, too!

Please consider letting Tinker Bell join your family. She will bring as much joy and love as possible to your home.

For more info contact Debbie at Jake’s Place 415-548-0824 or email adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org.

Tinker Bell is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Why adoption is a great option

Tinker Bell, a Novato Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
