PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone. ROO is in SALEM, Ohio. HE is fully vetted including neuter/microchip/rabies/Bordetella/parvo distemper vaccine/worming/heartworm lyme test/heartworm-flea prevent while at the shelter. We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.
FULLY VETTED ADOPTION FEE is: $200
** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere. ALSO, the breed mix posted is simply a GUESS on our part, we DO NOT do DNA testing.
Hi family, thank you for stopping by to check me out! My name is Mr ROO, I am ~1 yr old and weigh 25 lbs. I along with 7 of my canine buddies were taken from a home that was.....well, let's just say it was not a healthy environment for any of us! All 7 of my pack have found their homes and now it's my turn!! I will begin by telling you that I am not fond of male dogs as I like to be the "in charge" guy!! I do ok with female dogs that are more submissive and do not have "in your face" personalities. It is believed that due to me never being socialized with dogs outside my pack, I am intimidated by them. Can I be rehabilitated so that I can live with dogs??? No one knows as I do not have the luxury of finding out here at the shelter. So, if you have another dog(s) and are willing to work with me, allow me time to gain self confidence, take me to training (if needed) and be consistent and patient then MAYBE it could work?? But if you only want 1 dog in your home HERE I AM! Or, if you are in the market for 2 dogs at once, my buddy Miss Louise (as seen in pics) and I would love a home together!! I am still working on my leash manners since that is a new concept for me. I will need work on my potty habits so patience and consistency are key. However, the folks here at the shelter have been bragging that I keep my kennel nice and clean!! The great news is that I am extremely affectionate with humans!! I love cuddling, kisses, belly rubs and any type of loving human interaction!! Oh, and we all love to play with toys!! I have a ton of special love to give to the right family!!
