My story

Hi, my name is Forrest! I am a 2 year old, 60 lb boy who is as sweet as can be! My foster mom says I am pretty low-key, enjoy going on walks, and do well with other dogs. I absolutely adore people and get attached quickly. I did well meeting cats, too.

I love bones and squeaky toys and snuggles on the couch. My foster mom said I'm working on potty training and doing very well. I am very quiet too and prefer laying on the couch to being outside. I'd be a great companion to your family!

To adopt me, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
My adoption fee is $250, which includes my shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing. I am heartworm positive but am being treated for heartworms with Advantage Multi under Veterinary Guidance. This medication will go with me to my forever home!

You must live in Metro Atlanta or around Athens to adopt me.

Why adoption is a great option

Forrest, a Atlanta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
