Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐶 🐕 GORDY Male 6 1/2 years, 60 lbs & AVAILABLE – check out more photos and see the rest of our dogs on our website -- https://norcalbcrescue.org/available-dogs/our-dogs/ 🐕 🐶
Meet GORDY! This sweet boy is so excited for his new adventure. He greets everyone he meets with enthusiastic tail wags and a whole body wiggle that will melt your heart! He’s still a little on the shy side though and has a tendency to do a kind of submissive belly crawl when he encounters new situations, but he embraces every new situation and everyone he meets with a happy demeanor.
We figure GORDY to be around 6 1/2 years old, so while he has outgrown puppy shenanigans, he still has plenty of active years ahead of him. He has a thick, warm, black and white coat and loves being pet by everyone. Gordy absolutely loves human attention, and would let you pet him for hours if time allowed. He hasn’t expressed too much interest in toys, he just really wants to be with his people. Maybe with time he’d branch out a bit and like to play more with toys.
GORDY gets along with his foster siblings just fine. He is definitely the submissive dog in the pack. He just wants to get along and please everyone, and hasn’t offered any kind of challenging behavior towards people or other dogs. So far he seems to ignore the cats in his foster home. Gordy is crate trained.
GORDY is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) and wish to inquire about GORDY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
GORDY is being fostered in Granite Bay in Placer County, CA.
