My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Celeste is mama to Pluto, Jupiter, Moon, and Venus. She has been the absolute best mama. We rescued her from the shelter when her babes were a week old. She was stressed and sick and the shelter staff was so worried about her. If she wouldn't eat she couldn't take care of her babies. Now her babies are 4 month old and only Venus and Jupiter are left for adoption. Celeste still loves her girls just as much as when they were newborns. We'd love to see her get adopted with one of them. Celeste doesn't like much human interaction - can't pick up but will tolerate you petting her for a short period of time. She's not aggressive, just shy and scared. She will sit in front of you and just observe what you're doing, and she loves to cuddle and be with her girls. You can find her napping in a quiet area, and she purrs when she eats. She still grooms her babies. She has recurring runny eyes, but it seems to help to put a sprinkle of lysine supplement powder in her food daily. She loves purina dry food and canned food. She has perfect litter box habits. She is about 2 years old. She's a really easy girl to take care of. She just needs someone to adopt her with the understanding that right away she is not going to be a cuddly cat you can pick up. She will need some time to warm up to you, but I think she'll be a wonderful companion if given a chance. All cats are at least 8 weeks old at time of adoption, are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies - if at least 16 wks old), and given a starter dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee applies. Adoption application, interview, and home check required to be considered for adoption. No declawing policy and indoor homes only. If interested, please apply at www.rescueangelssomd.com. If pet is listed, he/she is still available.
