My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sidra is part of the Star Squad. This litter of puppies was dumped in a rural east Alabama county. A local family stopped when they saw a doghouse dumped on the side of the road and found three puppies inside. A few hours’ worth of searching later, the remaining three puppies were rescued from a drainage pipe nearby. These good Samaritans were unable to care for the pups, and a Dixie Girl foster took them in. These five gals and one guy are likely going to be larger dogs, and they are a very snuggly crew full of love to give!

Sidra is a mostly black pup with heavy white markings on her chest and light white markings all over her body. Sidra and Mariela are the smallest pups of the litter, and they may be in a fierce competition for “No. 1 Runt.” These two pups have very similar personalities, likes, and dislikes. They may be slightly smaller than the rest of the litter when they grow up, but as with any mixed breed pup, you won’t know until you know. Sidra is nervous around other dogs including her foster brother and sister. She may fit best in a home without other dogs, or she may require a longer supervised period to acclimate. Sidra enjoys playing with her siblings, but she is not as hyped about the rowdiness. She is a laid-back pup who enjoys being held and snuggled, and she may turn out to be the world’s number one “couch potato.” As with most puppies, we would recommend a fenced yard or supervised play time. As with all pups, lots of training will be necessary as our favorite things are chewing, playing with everything we can find, and jumping up on people. Sidra is ready to meet her new family and enjoy all the love they are ready to give her!
