My story

Beatrice is a total love bug. This kitten is the first at the door to greet you and she is clamoring for cuddles. Beatrice will jump right into your lap and become an instant purr machine. She enjoys being cuddled, pet, brushed, and smothered with kisses. Beatrice has been raised by a family, so she is accustomed to and adores kids, adult males and females. As much as she enjoys the company of humans, she would benefit from having another feline companion to grow and learn with. One of her siblings would be a purrfect match!

Once an application is received an Adoption Counselor will call to discuss your preferences and set up a "Meet & Greet" appointment.

A cat or kitten can go home the same day as a "meet & greet".

Adoption Fees: up to 6 months of age: $110.00 6 to 12 months of age: $85.00 Cats older than 1 year: $60.00 Over 6 years old to a qualified person over 60 years old is free. These are the minimum fees required. Please note they include the first (and sometimes more) vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter surgery, treatment for fleas, worms, and fairly often, costly treatment for other maladies, which result from abandonment Of course, if you would like to make a larger donation to help cover our care for the homeless animals, we would be delighted. All donations over the minimum fees are tax deductible, and will receive written acknowledgment. We have an adoption questionnaire to fill out prior to being approved, and a personal interview with an adoption counselor is required; at our discretion, a home visit may be required. Adopters agree to keep cat(s) indoors only and to not declaw.

More about this rescue

In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals, The Peter Zippi Memorial Fund For Animals was founded in 1977 by Dr. Alice Villalobos. We have adopted out over 14,000 pets (mostly cats) since then. The fund is run by wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help those who can't help themselves. The fund sponsors spay/neuter vouchers to qualified persons, and shelter for and adoptions of lost and homeless animals.
