My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Collier is a handsome, sweet, wonderful boy. He is smart, well behaved and loves to go on adventures.

When Collier came into our program it was discovered that this sweet boy was heartworm positive. He went through his treatments, with the love and support of his wonder foster family, and is now healthy and heartworm free! He loves hanging out with his foster family and going for nice walks. He does not do well in a kennel setting so his new family would have to have a plan that isn't a boarding facility for when they travel without him.

He is ~3.5 years old as of 06/16/22 and would do well in most homes as long as he had a good routine and knew he was safe and loved. Taller fences or exclusive leashed outings are preferred for him as he could jump a short fence with ease.

If you would like to meet this special dog, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to get more information. Or you can complete an adoption application which is linked on the main adoptable dogs page on the website. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.

Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen so they require a home visit to make sure there are no safety issues. You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered.

The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and micro chipping. Like us on Facebook!!

Disclaimer:

Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
