My story

Molly is a purebred 8 year old German Shepherd! She came to our rescue after she was found abandoned in a canyon and left to starve to death. When she arrived, she was severely underweight and covered in foxtails. She has been checked over by our vet and has no long term deficits. Molly loves food and is gaining weight. She still needs to gain a few pounds but with consistent, healthy meals she should be looking great in no time! Molly is so grateful for all the comforts of a home! She is easy and will lay out all day by your feet while you work or watch tv. She is also very loyal. When she is left alone, she sits and patiently waits by the door for you to come back. We left her outside for a couple hours and she stayed right by the sliding glass door. She did not bark or scratch, she just waited for her person to come back. Molly can be playful when you want to be active too. A brisk walk or a game of fetch in the evening is all she needs to be a happy girl! She loves balls and always keeps her eye on her favorite one. She could play fetch for hours! It is her favorite activity! Molly is friendly and gets along well with all people. She doesn't bark, knows basic commands, and she is crate trained as well as housebroken. She is a bit of an early riser and will let you know when she needs to go outside. Molly is dominant around other dogs and would do best in a home without others but could possibly live with a submissive dog. She has been around many calm dogs and has had no issues. She is never reactive when walking by others. She just doesn't like to be challenged or be around hyper animals. However, she cannot be with cats or other small critters at all! All of her lab work came back normal but she does have an eye disease called Pannus that requires daily drops. She can be a little wiggly for them but is getting used to the routine. Overall, Molly is a great girl! Calm but can be playful, smart, loyal and loving. If you're interested in meeting Molly, please visit our website at to fill out an adoption application. We do offer a trial first to make sure our dogs are the right match for your home before you officially adopt!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full) Adoption Fees: $400 for puppies (6mo or younger) $350 for adult dogs $250 for senior dogs (8+years) $150 for kittens (6mo or younger) $125 for adult cats $100 for senior cats

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
