My story

Truffles came into HART because someone wanted to be part of the solution and not the problem. His momma Chloe showed up as a stray on his property during the winter and this man took all the necessary measures to keep Chloe safe and warm over the winter, when one day he went out to feed her when he noticed she now had 3 small kittens she was caring for and this is when he reached out to HART and Chloe and her 2 week old kittens were taken into the HART program and I was lucky enough to be their foster mommy.
Truffles is now ready for his FUREVER home.

If you are looking for kid friendly, dog friendly, cat friendly, all around just a big fur ball of fun then these babes are for you.

Kittens do best when you adopt them together if you have no other pets to keep them entertained.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer. Thanks!

Why adoption is a great option

Truffles, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
