My story

Good day to you – my name is Eevee. I am a healthy, 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull.  After getting off to a rough start & living in an environment of abuse & neglect, I was rescued and have been enjoying the good life with the person who is fostering me.  I am full of life, too full of it actually.  I have lots of energy but am easily triggered.  I haven’t had a lot of socialization with people or other animals.  I would love to be in a home with a family who will give me lots of exercise and structure. I am housebroken and am okay in staying in my crate at night and during the day while you are at work.  I would love it you could have someone walk me if I am to be in the crate more than 6 hours. I will need to go to the bathroom and stretch my legs.  I come with a crate, food and water bowl, and my leash.  I want to please – I just need an assertive person to show me the way.  Are you that person? Once adopted, I am eligible for FREE training at the Paws For Life People and Pet Innovation Center.

More about this rescue

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from high-kill shelters. Often, we choose dogs that would most likely be euthanized at the shelter. We do this because our trainers can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.
