My story

Name: Peter Pan
DOB: 1/11/22
Breed: Pit Mix
Weight: 40 lbs
Sex: Male (not neutered)
Hi everybody! I'm Peter Pan, but my foster family likes to call me Pete or Peter for short! I am a boy full of energy and zoomies in my foster families fenced in yard is the best! I am a chewer... but I am still a puppy so it is something I am working on. Lots of toys are a must! (I like socks, squeaky toys, and bones!) I'm also a cuddle bug and will happily sit in your lap for pets or naps. If I want extra attention, I will sit on your feets, lean into your legs, and look up at you with my adorable face! Makes my foster dads heart melt every time!
I have three older foster siblings; a Great Dane and two Mini Dachshunds. We all play together, but they get tired quicker than I do. They let me know when they are done playing and I get the hint! After playing, its cuddle puddle and nap time! I would thrive in a home with other dogs. I love to play with my human foster kids, but I can be rowdy, so a family with older kids would be best for me. I don't know what a cat is, but I've seen Guinea Pigs. Maybe they are kind of the same? Anyways, I like to bark at the piggys, especially when they are running around in their playpen!
I have been learning quite a few new tricks, tasty treats are a huge motivator. (My foster mom says I am a very smart boy!) I learned sit in a day and now I am working on 'shake' and 'down.' I need verbal commands as well as hand signals since I think I am deaf in one ear! When you adopt me, please verify this with my new veterinarian. I am crate trained and will sleep through the night without a single peep or accident. I am still working on being housetrained, but being let out often helps me a lot. I'm still working on walking on a leash nicely. I get a bit scared at first because I think I am being taken away. Once I am outside, I get riled up, hop around, and try to make you walk with me in between your legs!
If you are interested in adopting me, please apply at https://www.716paws.org/adopt; or if you are already pre-approved please email us at info@716paws.org; or private Facebook message the rescue’s page.
