My story

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

Meet Honey Could she needs any cuter?
Honey is the sweetest most loving Australian Shepard/pit mix. She is fully vetted, spayed, HW neg, and started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and is 2 years old. Loves kids and her humans, she would make a GREAT companion for someone. She gets along with kids (obsessed with my 10 year old) and dogs but not so much cats. My daughter loves to sleep with her bc she sleeps all cuddled up to her she said like me☺️ she can sit and she is housebroken and crate trained she will also go on pee pads. She can walk on a leash and seriously just a love bug so if your looking for a best friend she’s the one!

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $125-$140 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.

Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies!

More about this rescue

Adopt-A-Stray was founded in Jan. 2010, by Kelley Prichard. Since then, it has grown to include a few wonderful volunteers who work very hard to help ensure that our pets are place in loving, forever homes. We are based in Alexander, AR, but we list all of our available pets in the northeast. We work with several different transporters to get our babies to their new homes in the northeast once they are adopted. The transporter we use most often Pack Leaders (www.plrdogtransport.com). All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations before they leave. Every pet is seen by our vet prior to transport. If you see a pet listed that interests you, please be sure to read the description thoroughly and inquire to the email address listed. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
