My story

UPDATE - Oreo has been adopted.

Oreo came to us through another rescue that got him out of an abusive situation. He is about 2 to 3 years old, and a happy, sweet, boy who gets along with other dogs wonderfully. He loves people (regardless of his past mistreatment). He has been around children and gets along well with them. He is very skinny, still, but is picking up weight nicely. Too, he has damage to his back legs/feet, which because his injuries were not treated, they healed improperly. This doesn’t slow him down a bit, but he does have an odd gait because of the way his feet healed. Oreo is located in San Diego, currently.

Why adoption is a great option

Oreo, a Southern CA Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Southern CA, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Southern CA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southern CA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southern CA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southern CA paves the way for another one to be saved.
