My story

Hi, I am Linwood, or Lenny!!! I am a cute pup that is in need of a forever home. I am up to date on my vetting and weigh about 40pounds.

Here is my story - I was dumped and left scrounging for food as a puppy. When I was brought into the rescue I had a deep puncture wound to my leg and a cut. I immediately taken to the vet and was treated with meds/antibiotics, etc. You can tell by my pictures that a good part of my life was being tied up with a chain.

I was never really a part of a family, so my fosters are teaching me all of the basics, and I am doing GREAT! They tell me that I am a funny dude that has a lot of love to give.

I am heartworm positive, but the rescue is willing to keep providing me my medicine until i am heartworm free!

Please consider making me apart of your lovely home!

Why adoption is a great option

LINWOOD, a Sumter Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sumter, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sumter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sumter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sumter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sumter paves the way for another one to be saved.
