My story

Once upon a time a single, elderly man decided he wanted a puppy and so he adopted an 8 week old girl named Doll Baby. She came off Craigslist and they said she was a Pit/Schnauzer mix girl. Now she is almost 2 years old, 50 pounds, and the elderly man is living in a small housing complex with no fence. He also has scoliosis and is unable to hardly walk, much less exercise and play with Doll Baby like she needs as a young dog. We need to help Doll Baby find a new and younger owner who can give her a stable home, fenced yard and lots of good direction to keep up with her needs for exercise and training. This is a smart and loving girl who is housetrained and also lives with two Cockatiels. So she is “bird” friendly. She needs attention and focus from an active family. She truly loves when neighboring kids visit and she nips the air with her display of joy and excitement. She needs a little time spent with leash training and good exercise which will have Doll Baby easily mastering a leisurely walk. She is dog friendly but we don’t know about cats. It might not really matter for her new family. We want to help this beautiful dark brindle Schnauzer mix girl to start over and have a lifetime commitment. We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
