Meet lovely 8 year old border collie MACEY who loves all people, including kids and is dog-friendly. She is a happy, alert, sweet dog. She loves her walk adventures. MACEY recently received a summer cut and looks and acts years younger!
MACEY lived in a loving foster home that included another big dog. She was the ideal house guest. Based on previous foster homes, we know that she will bond quickly with her new family.
MACEY is very smart and can learn new tricks fast. She learned how to use the doggy door quickly in her foster home. She shows no resource guarding with other dogs in the home.
MACEY is about 75 - 80 lbs and needs to lose weight so could be your walking exercise partner. She also enjoys watching TV with her family.
MACEY will need a secure, enclosed yard because, in her old home, she had a history of being an escape artist and chased small farm animals.

The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
