My story

Meet Sir Brutus, a 3 month old Shorthaired Black kitty that'd love to come home with you. Sadly, Brutus and his littermates were brought to HSNT as an unwanted litter.. who wouldn't want these super cute babies!? But, Brutus is not looking back now and is ready for his next adventure, he'shoping that next adventure will be with you! He does well with his feline friends here at the shelter and would love some friends in his new home. Brutus is neutered, current on kitten boosters, microchipped, litterbox trained, and FIV/FELV negative. If you're interested in meeting this fella, give our Benbrook Waggin' Tails Adoption Center a call at 817-249-3647 or schedule an appointment online at hsnt.org/adopt to visit her today!

Why adoption is a great option

Brutus, a Benbrook Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
