My story

Meet Chili!

Chili joins us from Alabama. This ~3.5 month old mixed breed, weighing about 10 lbs.

Chili is a super sweet girl!!  She loves to play, but is also super content laying in the sun in the yard. Chili gets along with dogs of all sizes and adores people.

Chili is a big fan of the outdoors. She loves to play. Chili is an energetic girl. She would do best with an active family, committed to daily exercise.  While Chili loves to play, she settles nicely when playtime is done.

Chili is crate-trained and learning her indoor manners. They are definitely a work in process. Her forever family will need to continue her training. She sleeps in her crate overnight without issues.

Chili is spayed, UTD on age-appropriate vaccines and on preventatives.  To make Chili a member of your family, please apply online at  https://yappytails.org/adoption-process

We are a rescue, not a shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location – they are in foster homes both in Connecticut & with our southern rescue partners.

More about this rescue

Yappy Tails Animal Rescue, Inc., is a 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. Founded in 2018, we are committed to rescuing, caring for, and adopting homeless dogs and cats into loving and responsible homes. Working with our southern rescue partners, we place our animals into temporary foster homes where they are socialized, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions limiting their adoptability. Our goal is to create a world where all companion animals have loving and permanent homes and where no loving animals, no matter what their age, are killed in shelters because they are considered to be a surplus or unadoptable.
