My story

Pluto is being fostered in PA.

Meet Pluto! Pluto is a very laid back and sweet boy who is great with kids and loves other dogs. He also enjoys being petted, but isn't a huge cuddler. Pluto does well navigating his surroundings, and loves to be outside playing with toys and interacting with other dogs.
Pluto knows his name and will come to his name when directed. He is crate trained, does well on a leash, and enjoys meeting new people. He's not a huge barker, but will bark if another dog takes one of his toys. He is still working on potty training.

Why adoption is a great option

Pluto pending!, a Madison Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Madison, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
