We’d like to officially introduce you to Cookie. You may have seen her in some videos of her and her foster mom-kid, Emma. Emma and her family have done a phenomenal job of helping Cookie see the good in people. Cookie was so scared in the shelter and we knew exactly who she needed, Emma! She’s been with Emma and her family since October 2021 and Cookie is still timid but has come along way! She is around 30lbs, energetic, curious and playful. She would do best with a home with another dog as she does follow and feel secure with another dog. She will need a quieter home and someone willing to continue to work with her. She has a lot of love to give she just has to learn to trust! She chases the cats in the home only because they run. She has never been aggressive. Cookie would be better with a child older than a toddler who wouldn’t just grab her, chase her or force her into a situation where she isn’t comfortable. She is ok on a leash but does much better with another dog. She feels safer with a buddy. Noises are an issue and can overwhelm and scare her but positive reinforcement and patience go a long way. She is about a year and a half, current on vaccines, chipped, spayed and on monthly preventions.
