My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Misty

Misty’s story before coming to Fort Worth Abandoned Animal Alliance is a sad one. Her previous owners used her for breeding. They surrendered her to a local shelter at the age of 7 on a euthanasia request after ignoring her heartworm positive status and denying her treatment. Despite her previous neglect Misty is the epitome of a lovable Pitty. Just call her name, pet another dog, or even just look at her and she will wag her tail and come running for love and affection. She has never met a stranger and loves everyone she meets. She is housebroken, crate trained, and quite as a mouse. With proper intros she has peacefully lived with other dogs, big and small. Cats unknown. However she can be possessive of her food bowl with other pets, so she will need to be separate, in her crate during meal time. She loves all the toys, cozy beds, and rides in the car. She is an older girl, so she has a pretty chill personality, perfectly suited for an apartment dog or low activity home. Can you help Misty rewrite her future and make her second life a caring and nurturing one?
