My story

Hi, it's me - Finch. I’m one of the pups from the Little Birdie’s litter. I am looking for my furever family. Don't get me wrong – I love my foster family – they are super duper. But each night, I go to sleep and dream of what my foster mom calls my Furever Family. She says they will play with me (I love to play), and snuggle with me (I REALLY love to snuggle), and they will love me forever and ever. My foster mom says I am a great catch! I love other dogs, I love to play with toys, and I love to be with people. I have this big heart full of sunshine that I just want to share. Can I share it with you? Finch is currently being fostered in Eatonton, and he is about ready to move on to his furever home.

Finch's mom is a sweet Hound mix, about 70 lbs, and dad is unknown. Based on the pups’ weights now, their dad is likely a smaller dog and we don’t think that they will get as big as their mama. They are happy, healthy puppies and they will be completely vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered and microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, worming, and both heartworm and flea / tick prevention. They are energetic pups who will need their families to make sure they have adequate time to give him plenty of exercise and play time! And of course, training – to make sure that they grow up to be good family members. Our rescue also requires that each adopter's current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. All animals in your household should also be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason to keep them from being altered.

If you are interested in making Finch or one of the other Little Birdies pups part of your family, please visit the link below to fill out an application! It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. To expedite the process, please make sure that you complete the application entirely – listing the names and phone numbers for your references (personal as well as vet and landlord, if applicable). If you have any questions, please contact us – we’d be glad to help!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the potential adopter filling out an adoption application. In the application, you can specify a particular dog in which you are interested, or let us know what type of pet in which you are looking, so we can find the perfect animal to fit your family and your needs. Once the application is received, a board member will review the application, and make contact with the potential adopter within 48 hours. This initial contact may include further questions/more information, or may include scheduling a meet and greet for you to meet the animal in which you are interested! Once the application is approved or the meet and greet goes well, then the adoption can be finalized. To finalize the adoption, an adoption agreement must be completed, the adoption fee paid (we accept cash, paypal, or credit/debit card), and then the potential adopter can take their new family member home with them or schedule pick up of their furry family member! The adoption fee varies based on the dog or puppy you are interested in. Some of the adoption fees have been listed on the individual dog's description but if you do not see one then please reach out and we would be happy to talk to you about it! If you are interested in any of our animals, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!!
