My story

No pup is better than our very own Chester Cheeser! This bouncy boy is so full of fun-loving energy. He is an affectionate, attentive dog who just thrives when he is by your side. Chester loves playing with the 3 other dogs in the foster home and is respectful of the cats there, too. This little guy is super easygoing and SMART, too. Sometimes, his smarts get him into trouble - He once jumped a 7-foot-high chicken fence and made "friends" with a porcupine. OUCH!! Despite his mischievous side, Chester is incredibly treat-motivated and has already learned some basic commands. He is incredibly loyal to the people he loves and acts like a second shadow. With his foster mom, he takes part in morning coffee, evening wine and every fun moment in between! Chester fits in great anywhere, but would really thrive in a home with plenty of people and other animals to hang out with. Bonus points for plenty of chewy treats, snuggles and long walks! If your family is in the market for a funny, loving companion - look no further than this savory furball.

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
