Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peel has had a rough start to his life and has all the scars to prove it. He found his way under the deck for shelter during the winter, sick with an upper respiratory infection that affected his eyes, and a very nasty wound on his back. Don't let his grouchy look fool you! He is a sweet boy who loves to be cuddled with on the couch, get lots of chin skritches and kisses. He enjoys a good play with a wand toy and will knock a ball around, sometimes chasing it. He does not do well with other kitties, has never met a dog (that we know of) and would be fine with children who respect boundaries. His ideal home would be quiet, with him as the only pet.
He has been neutered, is up to date with his vaccines, flea treated and dewormed, FIV/FelV negative and ready for his forever indoor home.
He can be seen at the Norwich Avenue Petsmart location in Woodstock.

An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet.
Please note that yearly vet visits are a requierment for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practise, your application will not move forward.
You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200.
It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along.
We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations.
