Hidy do! The name is Oscar and I am so very happy to meet you! As you can tell by my greeting I am a very friendly boy! I love people and other dogs too! I was actually rescued by a kind stranger as I ran along a very busy road that many people use going to the beach!! He could see that I needed his help, so I wouldn't get hurt! He was able to get me in his car and run me to the shelter. I waited and waited, but my family never came for me. Now I am looking for a new family to love! I am a two-year-old terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One small problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. I guess my last family didn't give me my heartworm preventative. I know with the help of the shelter I will get through my treatment just fine and hopefully I will find a new family that will keep up with my heartworm prevention! Could that be your family?

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
