My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Make sure you let us know you saw Sophie on Adopt-a-pet. Sophie Love certainly lives up to her middle name! She knows her new name and responds to it. In fostering her for a few days I have observed that she attached to me quickly and is very affectionate. She likes to be petted and enjoys a tummy rub. She likes to be physically close and curls up next to me on the couch to watch TV. Sophie is quiet and gentle with a calm demeanor. She walks very nicely on a leash and LOVES to go for walks. I found out that she likes water and waded into the lake in my community. Sophie slept on blankets next to my bed (again wanting to be close). And aside from a few small accidents (peeing) she is well on her way to being housetrained. Sophie knows commands for "sit" and "come." She will also lay down when you ask her /show her to lay down. Sophie enjoys a variety of toys (soft, squeaky) and liked chewing on a nyla bone. She plays independently and then takes a nap. Sophie met some of my neighbors (men and women) and she was calm and polite around them. She is a bit cautious around some men at times. On our walks we passed other dogs and children and she looked at them and calmly walked by. Sophie followed me around inside most of the time and wants to "check in" and know where I am. This dog is a SWEETHEART and deserving of a wonderful loving forever home! Might she be just right for you????
