Hi, my name is Moose. I may look familiar to you, as my sister Peach is also here awaiting her forever home. I am a big lover of a dog once you get to know me. I will jump up and hug my human friends at the shelter. I'm house-trained, and good with other dogs on walks but prefer to be the only pooch in the household. I bond strongly, and tend to stay at my person's side. I would love to be adopted by someone who has a big outdoor area for me to roam in. Please come down to meet me soon!

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries"). NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
