A Little Bit About Me

Angela is a shy girl, but oh, so sweet. She ventures out of her cubbie now to greet us and she happily enjoys ear, cheek and full body petting. She gives us a few tentative body rubs purring the entire time. Still not a social butterfly-- but well on her way!

Angela will need a quiet home with shy cat experienced guardians that understand the recipe for success is time, gentleness and patience. Offering Angela some of her favorite treats (Temptations and Churu) will go a long way in breaking the ice and gaining her trust.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries"). NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
