My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

So-kay got her name from being so scared that her foster kept saying, "its ok". She was slated to be euthanized since she would not eat and was frozen with fear in the shelter environment and they didn't want her to keep suffering. With her age, we could not pass her up, knowing most dogs, when given the chance, do much better in a home environment. Boy were we right! She is now a quirky, fun girl with tons of personality. She loves playing with puppies and is good with most dogs. She does not do well with bossy dogs. She has a fair amount of energy and gets the zoomies which are a bit shocking the first time but she is so silly, you have to laugh. Her husky side is pretty talkative. She loves to run and throw her own ball and will sometimes bring it back to you if you throw it. She is initially more tentative around men but does well with ones that are in her life regularly and don't push her to interact.

More about this rescue

Toby’s Critter Cove Rescue was established in 2020, the year that everything seems to be falling apart. Our one glimmer of hope was starting a passionate program rescuing animals in Summit and surrounding counties. Our motto, no paw left behind, which we live and breathe to ensure no animal goes unloved or uncared for. Our goal is to educate not only our volunteers, but also the community about responsible animal ownership. In addition, offering a varied level of support structures to ensure the most positive home placement for all our critters.
