My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Burr. She is a 1 ½ year old Coonhound found in the Ozark mountain’s of Arkansas while on a weekend horseback riding trip. She was very skinny and covered in ticks and cockleburs but, nonetheless, still had a bright personality and was as lovable as she could be. We started calling her cocklebur because she stuck to us like one. Burr became her shortened name. The weekend came to an end, and we were hoping she would find her way back to her owners. Instead, she chased our horse trailers until we stopped and let her in. Once back in Memphis, the search began to find her owner. After numerous attempts, her owner was never found. She is now looking for her furever home! She is a super sweet girl who loves the outdoors more than anything in the world. She has the energy to go for miles on a long hike or trail ride. She has a medium to high energy level but is pretty quiet when indoors. She is house broke, kennel trained, good around other dogs, cats, and horses, and is great with children. She is spayed and vetted up until May 2022. She is heartworm negative and given preventative monthly. She absolutely loves belly rubs, being in your lap, treats, toys, car rides and the park. She can be quite the little clown when in play mode by throwing her head all the way back to take a look at you. She likes being outside more than in. Last but not least, she will melt your heart with her little smile that she loves to show off! Once adopted she will travel via private transport (transport cost is $150.00) to a location closest to you.
