My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Liah (Miniature Red Poodle). I am only 2.5 years old and weigh approximately 3.5 kg. I was rescued from a homeless woman living inside the Uijeongbu Trainstation in Gyeonggi Province. I was discovered by one of the foster aunties in Seoul, Korea. She saw the homeless woman force-feeding me with soju (Korean Rice Alcohol) and pork down my throat. This homeless woman was mentally ill and was abusing me by the minute. Sources told aunties at Joey & Bailey Foundation I was abandoned by a family who no longer wanted me. Somehow, I ended up with this crazy woman who was torturing me. She found it entertaining to abuse me.

At the time of rescue, my rescuer auntie found one of my eyes seriously injured and my legs were heavily injured as well. There were times this homeless woman hogged and tied me with her shoelace. My rescuer auntie decided to rush me to the pet hospital for a full medical examination. I was diagnosed with pneumonia and I already had a perforation in one eye so the surgery was inevitable. The vet ended up removing my eye eventually. I am currently undergoing rehabilitation after completing all of the necessary surgery and treatments. I was also diagnosed with uterine sinusitis and patella luxation.

If it wasn’t for my rescuer auntie, I could’ve died slowly. I had no desire to live since living with this evil homeless lady was torture for me. She enjoyed watching me suffer in pain. I don’t know any human being who loves to torture dogs. Do you? Words cannot describe the pain and suffering I’ve gone through with this evil person.

I am looking for a family who completely understands my special needs. I prefer a household with no other animals or young kids under the age of 6 since I’ve suffered so much. The last thing I need is more stress. I want to find a family who will love me for who I am and reassure me that they will never abandon me. Will you help me find the perfect family for me?

Should you be interested in adopting me as your new family member, please fill out our adoption application on our site to be considered as potential adopters. We highly encourage you to read our FAQs page on our site.

PLEASE NOTE: All of our recently rescued dogs are currently fostered in Seoul, Korea by our volunteers. Our adoption process may be stricter than any other rescue organization as these rescued dogs are traveling over 5500 miles to be with their new permanent family.

You must be at least 25 years old to be considered an overseas adopter. For serious inquiries only. Please note, we monitor all pets after adoption. We prefer adopters that are active on any of the social media accounts. Thank you!
