Who can resist this sweet face?!?!?!
Mickey is a 2-3 year old Collie/Lab mix who was rescued from horrific conditions. Mickey, along with four other dogs were living in absolute squalor and filth before being rescued. Her previous owners abandoned her when they moved and she was left to fend for herself. We don't know how long poor Mickey and the others were there before someone found them but she was covered in fleas, dirty, and emaciated.
All of that is in the past now for this loveable sweetheart! While Mickey is still a bit tentative around new adults (understandably so given she was failed by them), she absolutely loves the 12 year old human in her foster home. She follows him around EVERYWHERE and enjoys listening to him read her bedtime stories!
Mickey rarely barks, is crate trained, and improving daily with her house training. She enjoys going for walks and does extremely well on the lease. Overall, she's a sweet calm little girl with a ton of potential. She would make a good companion for just about anyone!
If you would be interested in meeting Mickey, please go to our website at www.rescueahart.org and fill out an online adoption application.

Mickey, a Cincinnati Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
