My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bellatrix! This beautiful girl is approximately 1 year old and sweet as can be. She came into our program from a high kill shelter in Alabama, and we soon discovered she was expecting puppies, which was a total surprise to us. She was a great momma and puppies are doing wonderfully, but now it's time for Bellatrix to find her place in the world!

Bellatrix appears to not had a ton of socialization throughout her young life and can be reserved when she first meets a stranger. She seems to be especially reserved around male strangers vs. female, although she has warmed up and become great friends with both genders so far. She is food motivated and becomes extremely affectionate when she warms up and demands to get her rubs! She is becoming more and more social with the staff at Found Training Center every day and can easily be won over with snacks.

Bellatrix prefers dogs that are respectful of her boundaries and allow her to get to know them before engaging. She has made dog friends in previous foster homes, so we are confident that she could coexist and enjoy a fellow canine family member if the right one came along. Once she gets comfy with a dog, she is bouncy and goofy and enjoys a good romp.
