Luca is a gorgeous 12 - 14 months old (per DNA) German Shepherd, Aussie, and Malinois mix, who is looking for his forever home.
Luca is current on vaccination, neutered, kept on heartworm and flea preventative, extremely good with kids and other doggies (see pictures), and very loving, loyal and adorable.
However, he is high energy (thanks to his malinois genes mixed with his puppy energy), therefore a patient family, who has the time to exercise him everyday, is needed for him.
Luca’s parents sadly got divorced, and his young mom, even though she would like to keep him, is unable to do so, as she herself has to pick up her pieces with her toddler, and Luca is not wanted by the people she has found shelter with.
It’s truly heartbreaking for everyone, and the only comfort she will have, is if Luca can find an amazing home, where he is very loved and spoiled, and allowed to be the velcro pup that he is.
Luca loves to play in water, loves his bully sticks, is a star at the doggie daycare and dog park, loves to get groomed, and loves his toys.
Luca is crate and potty trained, and has had basic obedience. He is food motivated, he loves the ball, he can be in a home without being crated as he is not destructive. He is a digger in the yard though.
He lives with at least 3 other dogs, and does not display any food or toy aggression. He definitely needs someone to treat him gently, and not push him into a crate or grab his collar. He is terrified of loud noises like gun shots (he is from Texas) or fireworks and thunder, Therefore he needs a parent who he can trust for comfort.
Luca needs a yard, therefore please apply only if you have a fully fenced yard.
Luca is currently in Texas but is able to travel anywhere in the USA or Canada.
