SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Romeo is a lovely young dog who came to CARE from a NC shelter that was full and euthanizing. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve him. He is a very sweet, quiet dog that would make an excellent addition to any home, and his gentle nature would make him an awesome dog for children. He is healthy and happy, loves all people, and loves other dogs. He is learning to walk on a leash and loves to be by your side. Romeo is completing our vaccine protocol, and will be both neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
