Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The old saying is "Elvis has left the building". Well, this Elvis has left the shelter just in time to be taken in by CPR! Boy, he is so happy to be at his foster mom's house running and playing with his foster siblings. He is about 18 months old we believe and walks great on a leash. We think he was kept inside a lot as he is completely housetrained/crate-trained. He will sit for treats. He definitely looks like a Corgi mix with his short little legs and has the spots like a Catahoula dog. A DNA test would be ideal for this boy as his breed is a guess. Whatever his breed, he is a lovebug looking for his forever home. He gets along well with other dogs after first meeting and getting to know them. He does well with children too. Give Elvis the chance to say "he has left his foster mom's house heading to his forever home"!
Elvis is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms, but has been fully treated and is doing great. He will be ready to leave for his new home July 25th! The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you!
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48-hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
