My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pandora is a sleek, sweet, quiet, and healthy, nine-month-old, 43-pound, female, brindle terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Pandora was picked up by Chicago Animal Control with an electrical cord wrapped around her neck. She had been micro-chipped and her human said he didn’t have the resources to take her back.

She’s overly friendly, jumping up and hugging you. For that reason, I’d recommend her for an experienced dog-lover, or someone willing to put the time in to train and exercise her.

She LOVES other dogs … male, female, big, small, young and old. But, her favorite, of course, are dogs that will play with her. She’s perfect about tempering her energy to who she is playing with.

She’s fine as the one and only pet in your home if she can get out to play with other dogs. She’s best in a home without small children, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds etc.

Pandora is strong, but typically good on leash and extremely quietly crate-trained.

She is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies, distemper, bordetella, and leptospirosis vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and on monthly heartworm preventative.

Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. If you are interested in meeting and possibly fostering/adopting Pandora, please fill out the application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and then follow up by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com for an appointment to meet her.

She is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
